Yorkshire Water

Yorkshire Water

Official Tap Water Provider

Here at Yorkshire Water we’re delighted to be the official tap water sponsors of Countryfile North, bringing a sip of Yorkshire’s good stuff to all the visitors at the show.

Every day we’re collecting and making around 1.24 billion litres of drinking water and sending it through 62,000 miles of pipes straight into the homes and businesses of the lovely people of Yorkshire. 95% of water used also comes back to us as waste water, which we treat and return safely back to the environment.

We’re really excited to be at Countryfile Live for the first year! As official tap water sponsors we’ll have plenty of water fountains across the show ready for you to fill up your bottles of our tasty, thirst quenching Yorkshire Water. Don’t forget to bring your refillable bottles and do your bit to help reduce single-use plastics.

We can’t wait to share with visitors all the ways in which we can help them enjoy and look after the beautiful Yorkshire water, countryside and environment. Water is such an essential part of our lives and we want everyone to enjoy it now and in the future. See you there.

But we’re about much more than just water and sewerage services. We're one of the region’s largest landowners, working with farmers, landowners and other organisations to manage our land in the most sustainable way that helps us protect the natural environment and wildlife habitats for the future.

We also love to share our beautiful land, with around 120 reservoirs for you to enjoy - pop down to our stand and pick up a walking pack to see all the fantastic walks and other activities available.

We work really closely with local communities and schools. Our educational programmes encourage people to think about water as a valuable resource. We show people how using water wisely can really make a difference and how their small actions can protect the environment and homes from flooding. From water saving advice and what not to flush, to ideas on installing SuDS (Sustainable Drainage Systems) we’ll have loads of great ideas on our stand.
